DIRECTIONS TO EMMA WOOD STATE BEACH - READ EVERY WORD PLEASE.

In summary:  Past the City of Ventura, you take the "State Beaches" exit.  There will not be an Emma Wood sign on the freeway and the exit sign is only called "State Beaches".

(If you accidentally pass it, get off on the next exit and cut over to PCH.  Take PCH back south (it will be a few miles but a nice view).  You will pass a bunch of RV's parked along PCH and this is called Rincon State Beach.  Keep driving until you see the Emma Wood State beach entrance. If you get back on the freeway, there is no southbound 101 State beaches exit.  You will have to get off on Main Street and make a quick left to get back on the freeway and start your run again). Not a big deal.

Once you get off the freeway, it is a one way street.  Stay on it.  It will take you through a tunnel and then force you out on to PCH.  The entire run from freeway to Emma Wood turnout is about 1/4 to 1/2 mile.  Slow down coming down the hill because the turnout is a sharp one on the left.

Remember, you have to pass the city of Ventura.  There is a "State Beaches" exit just as you come into Ventura but this IS NOT the exit you want.
